Jeff Nordhues completed undergraduate studies in 2004 with Denver’s beautiful eastern slope as a backdrop. This was followed by nearly three years working as a designer and liaison to manufacturing for the renowned Dessin Fournir Companies before deciding to further his study by attending graduate school at the Rhode Island School of Design. During the past two years, in addition to his studies (which will be completed Spring 2009), Jeff has been exposed to teaching in a part time capacity and plans to continue teaching part-time while maintaining current clients and growing his studio. He has a deep seated belief in design education being informed by the concrete, current, and relevant practices of its instructors.
Update: Fall 2011 Jeff is currently serving as a lecturer in the Interior Design department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (his hometown). In addition to his teaching he and his wife Teegan have launched
Pax Modern a clean lined, high-end furniture, lighting, and accessories company. The product is designed by the hands of many from around the globe, yet handcrafted in the Heartland of America.
